when it rains, it pours pt 2- BYRON BAY

so we booked a trip to byron bay, the plan was to leave from school at 6 am, get to byron bay and go for a 2 hr surf lesson, sky dive from 14000 feet, beach bbq, and out in byron, stay at the hostel and come back the next morning.
         UNFORTUNATELY ........
the weather was shitty. this weekend. again!!!!!!! like i dont even know how its possible for there still be rain in the clouds.  SO we surfed for 2 hours, found these FREAKY little blue aliens in the water!!!!! and swam in a tea tree lake- really great. buttttttt found out we couldnt go sky diving because the rain would freeze and feel like bullets on our skin up at 14000 ft. boo :(.
SOOOOO the night started circa 1pm- we went to The Byron Bay Brewery, they started giving us pitchers and we pulled out the biggest game of flip cup EVER. 22 people on each side. soooo funny teaching all the foreigners the game, espesh scandinavians. they get SHITTYYY!!! met a lot of realllyyy cool people and continued drinking for the next twelve hours. we had vip at Cheeky Monkeys but im not really sure if i went. I think my boyfriend of the night got us kicked out. will have to verify details to confirm...
so we had to get a rain check for skydiving but everything else was a tonnnn of funnnnn!!!!!

but really. thanks to 30 rock my fitting phrase for my life is- when it rains it pours...like in every place in my life!!!!!!!!!!

super busy week..psych paper due thurs, australian tourism marketing presentation due wed, psych midterm saturday, accounting midterm friday. thank GOD my grades dont transfer.

week 5 recap
tuesday- first cheer practice. LOVE IT!!!!! love all the girls and the routine and im sooo excited to perform on thursday at the rugby game. surreaaaall...its like way different from american cheer and a lot more dancey...with tumbling and stunts. there is a norweigian dude doing tumbling coaching and he is HILAR- he keeps whispering to me, ugh this is social suicide. i just want to go home and have a snack...

wednesday went to an AMAZINGG boxing class then pilates. fat girl next to libby kept farting LOOOL but our fingers were all bloody and it was pretty sick

thursday we watched a bird eat another bird on our balcony at the library..that was weird. made me really not interested in my 2000 word paper on buddhist ideals on vegetarianism..its really hard to write about something you dont agree with/give a shit about.  THEN went to this RETARDED spinning class. joel kicked our ASS and played really terrible music with no beats, lots of screaming. it was really fucking hard. the entire time i was trying to get the courage to walk out but i was too tired to think...regardless ill probably go again next week.

THENNNN we went out to don's and east, SHITSHOW. standard. libby and i thought it was really funny to yell at aussie boys on the street...but it really really was!!!!

Its liiiikeee really hard to stay focused in class right now, so I guess I'll update since I've been asked.
Last wednesday some freak boy that will not stop asking me to dinner legitttt cornered me in the lib and i was so pissed i caved and said i would accompany him to a bday party at this place called Dracula's thats like a vampire dinner show. But i said i would only go if he would pay for ki too :) Ended up being FIVE hours long. Def recommend it if you're visiting the Gold Coast and want to see some Aussie humor and performance, but not recommended if you're on a date with someone you don't like...but at least i had ki with me to hide...!!

Thursday went to another siickkk club in Surfers called Shooters and it was soo crowded and awesomeee. SO MUCH DEADMAU5!!!! and ladies night means allie gets free drank.

but libby is home from her perth uni games which makes me soooo happy!! She came back with wayyy too many freaky stories but so much entertainment for ME!! omg and we found a DANK mexi restaurant...aaaghhh and today is the first sunny day in 3 days!!!!! sucks i have class from 10-7. tomorrow after my meditiation class ill be laying out aaaallll daaaaieeee :))

omg and saturday in surfers we went to the marriott for the night bc they have a BENNIHANNA :D so amazing. so glad i found someone that has an equal passion for hibachi. marriott is sick, has a saltwater lagoon pool with FISH in it, like tons. and you can snorkel. like man made mini ocean. sooo cooool. 

ps shout out to sam rosen and julia croote who actually read this and think im funny...!! we need to plan a belgian reunion soon ladies :)

pps we ordered our groceries online yesterday to get delivered tomorrow, so convinient. everywhere should do that. also maids come tomorrow. love that too. class over WOOOOO

ki and i learned how to read palms today. skipped my first class but its WEEK 3 so acceptable beyond a doubt. also went to this sick yoga pilates fusion class today...everyone impressed with my flexibility, sHocKeRRR. some idiot asked if i stretch everyday? im liiiikeee err, its called being kinky...kidding.

boreddddddd, putting off sleeping before my 9 am buddhist philosophy meditation sesh. my sleeping is soooo fucked here. mostly due to thurs and sat night activities (sat being better :D, no crying or stalking) buttttt love lOvE LOVEEEE ambien!!!!!!!!!!! ps today in psych we were learning about brain shit/chemical receptors and im likeee, my shrink already taught me this when she was explainin my medzzzzzz....

I MADE CHEERLEADING YAYAYYY soooo happpyy!!! practice starts next tuesday :) and they have tumbling coaches so if i get my tuck back i can try out for smu cheer in the spring!!! you know, just for some dallas cowboy cheerleader practice...

im being such a good little kitty, 3rd day in the library in a ROW! this is the first semester ive been putting more than the required time in. actually reading the textbook and my notes? so impressive. too bad my grades here dont count towards my gpa...

ON A COOLER NOTE- libz ki and i did a pilates class yesterday and my abs are soo sore. really loved it!!! def doing it again. weather here is overcast again, but this weekend is supposed to be great :) ki and i have a trip planned into the rainforest for hiking and trekking waterfalls and cave exploring. into the australian hinterland, a place called springbrook national forest. and they have these glow worms in all the caves that look soo freaky!!! ahh and friday theyre having a 'frat party' at satin in broadbeach where they have kegs and red cups. tag line, 'the yanks have arrived'. so funny. we were just talking about how we miss frat parties! tonight though will be great, music festival on campus of aussie bands then campus bar after then east till 3! anddd we have 12 liters of wine to go through... love love love my 3 day weekends!!

TRIED OUT FOR BOND CHEERLEADING TODAY. really nervous even putting that online considering the embarassment if i dont make it. thru a back handspring for the first time since high school...they were impressed by my toe touch DUH. learned choreography to california gUrls chorus, ki wont let me practice in the room since she hates that song. played with my new aussie gf brooke who ALSO has a 2 door mercedes and a yellow lab. twinzzz! but really happy i tried out after all. battling nerves all day but im working on this whole being vulnerable/putting myself out there. my shrinks would be so proud!

ALSO WATCHED SEASON 4 OF DEXTER AAAAHHHHH so nuts at the end. that show is the shitttt. cant wait till season 5 airs bc F-I-L introduced us to the best website- www.channel131.com ...i think. anwyay it has tons of brand new movies still in theaters and shows up right after they air. for those who dont know, international privacy laws prevent us from getting tons of cool shit that were used to in the states online. eg- PANDORA...INSTANT NETFLIX...HULU...CWTV.COM...ABC.COM. i realllyyy didnt think id miss us tv but its a nice little piece of home away from home :)

first day of class :))))

today was our first day of classes!!!!!! so great that many US schools started a month ago! suckssss. thats my school! ---->
ki gave me a load of shit for being nervous about what to wear on the first day. analyzing outfits on our walk to class (intro to psych for the 3rd time, but 3rd times a charm!!) we were rolling our eyes at people wearing heels and laughing at people wearing hollister like its still cool! Now I have Buddhist Philosophy then Australian Pop Culture with Ki. I'll update soon later! I can only imagine walking into class saying, sorry im late, i was blogging.
